ISTANBUL / ADALAR - YASSIADA

The project is in ongoing progress under employership of Customs and
Tourism Establishments (CTE) which is constituted by the partnership
of 137 Chambers and Commodities with The Turkish Union of Chambers and
Commodities Exchanges (TCCE) in Adalar county in the province of
Istanbul. The contractor is MESA MESKEN SANAYİ A.Ş.


Yassıada and Sivriada had been unprotected for long years which have
an important place in the Turkish political culture and historical
background which traces to Byzantines period whom have testified the
Yassıada Executions. Culture and tourism intended
build-operate-transfer project is being conducted by the Ministry of
Culture and Tourism and TCCE with CTE for the purpose of providing
protection and presenting the structures to the citizen’s service
which have historical and cultural values in Yassıada and Sivriada
where will get a new name as ‘ Democracy and Freedom Islands’. The
buildings in Yassıada which are our recent history’s heritage will be
renewed and turned into museum and will be opened to use to grasp the
period’s circumstances. Besides, the construction of conference halls
and accommodation fields will be fulfilled to host international
conferences.
